Rangers to buy out defenseman at season’s end?
Ken Fidlin of The London Free Press claims that the New York Rangers will buy out defenseman Darius Kasparaitis in the summer.
Kasparaitis has been struggling so far this season, and has was even sent on a “conditioning assignment” by the Rangers to work on his game.
Seeing no signs of improvement, Rangers GM Glen Sather renewed his efforts to trade the blueliner, but once again found no takers. The result was similar to what happened earlier in November when reports suggested that the Rangers were looking to trade Kasparaitis.
