Doesn't matter, until they improve their scouting, a top-5 pick won't make any difference...

I agree though, unlikely as hell the Leafs make the playoffs. I heard Sundin got hurt in the last game...

As for the ridiculous statement of "After all, who knows hockey more than Canadians do, and who plays the best brand of hockey? Who is the best hockey country in the world?"

Guess what? The world is catching up. Also, KNOWING hockey is something you can't possibly be in a position to comment about, and I take offence to the notion that you believe Canadians are somehow superior even in that facet. Go read a TSN.ca article and tell me if it sounds well informed... Most if it is opinion, and nothing more. In fact, even the fact Canada is so proud of their hockey teams is kind of sad (as an Ottawa citizen). I wish we had some culture or national identity to be proud of rather than being dominant in a game that we make up the rules for...

The reason Canada wins many international tourneys is because much of the officiating is dictated by the NHL, regardless of propaganda to the contrary. I would point to Dion Phaneuf's cheap head-shot on Rostislav Olesz as evidence...

Sorry, just tired of the rhetoric that Canada knows hockey better than anyone else. If ya did, you'd have more than 6 teams, and Gary Bettman wouldn't be commish....

I support ANY brand of hockey over Canadian hockey. Even Russian, and they're our national enemy.

As much as I would like for the Leafs to meet the Canadiens in the playoffs, I highly doubt it will happen this year.

The Leafs will likely finish in 9th place, just mere points out of 8th; that's my bet.

It will be just enough to give the fans hope they can make the post-season, while completely take them out of position to land a top draft pick. Only the Leafs...
