Improving offense on Canucks’ agenda
Iain MacIntyre of The Vancouver Province reports that Vancouver Canucks GM Dave Nonis is interested in acquiring a forward to improve the club’s offense.
Nonis has been looking at adding a forward all summer long, but hasn’t found the right match.
It’s believed that the Canucks would love to add a second-line player with 30-goal, 70-point potential to play on the wing with Brendan Morrison and Markus Naslund.
Nonis expects that as it gets closer to the regular season, some teams may feel the need to move a forward to either clear a roster spot or cut payroll, and that’s when the opportunity of making a deal increases.
