Naslund unsure about future
Vancouver Canucks pending unrestricted free agent forward Markus Naslund tells Jason Botchford of The Vancouver Province he is yet to make a decision about his playing future past this season.
“You do think about it,” Naslund said, adding he remains unsure how long he wants to keep playing. “When you have a family, you have to think a little further. But I honestly don’t know. I haven’t decided on anything.”
So, does Naslund’s noncommittal stance mean he’s ready to re-sign with the Canucks? Could he leave the Canucks for another team? Maybe return to play in his native Sweden? Possibly retire?
For his part, the Swedish forward admits to being very much interested in winning the Stanley Cup.
“You want to look back at your career and say you won something,” Naslund said. “That being said, it’s a tough task winning a Stanley Cup. Look at this franchise, it’s been around for a long time and made it to two finals. But that makes it more exciting to get in and have a chance.
So, it’s quite possible that he may continue his hockey career in the NHL. What remains to be seen is whether it will be in Vancouver, or elsewhere.

Naslund has not been the same since Bertuzzi left, in the play-offs when big Bert wasn’t there he did nothing as well. If I were the Nuck’s I would sign him for no more than 3 million, or else bye, bye Naslund.

Naslund needs his bum-chum Bert back… Watch him get traded to Anaheim!! LMFAO!! That’d be classic. Burke and the Bum-Buds would be back in business!
(Sorry, had to alliterate!)
