Selanne undecided, Flyers uninterested
At a press conference Wednesday, Philadelphia Flyers defenseman Kimmo Timonen said unrestricted free agent forward Teemu Selanne remains undecided about his playing future, reports Tim Panaccio of the Philadelphia Inquirer.
After speaking with Selanne recently, Timonen remained unsure whether his fellow Finn would “retire, re-sign with the [Anaheim] Ducks, or play somewhere else.”
However, Timonen speculated that Selanne would suit up again this season, but didn’t have a guess where.
“I think he will play, but where I don’t know,” Timonen said.
One team that appears to be uninterested, is Timonen’s Flyers. The club’s GM said during Wednesday’s conference that Selanne is not on the club’s radar.
