It's a big slap in the face to a loyal guy like Kolzig, who could have bailed on them a few years ago through unrestricted free agency. I've heard that the whole Columbus situation is kind of under scrutiny. The Jackets are saying that Foote had no intention of re-signing with them, and therefore set his demands out of their reach...
