Penguins Still Leaving Room For One

The Pittsburgh Penguins have put Miroslav Satan on waivers.  This move leads me to believe that they are making room and clearing space to make a deadline move today.  It wouls seem that the player that will gain the most interest from other teams is young center Jordan Staal.  The Pens have signed Staal to [...]

Pittsburgh Penguins Face Inevitable Change

With the recent losing streak the Pittsburgh Penguins have been on, it is no surprise that everyone is looking to GM Ray Shero to make some moves to help the team get out of the midseason slump they are in.

The Pittsburgh Penguins have become the darlings of this year’s playoffs, which has prompted many to jump on their bandwagon. Boasting intriguing youth such as Sidney Crosby, Evgeny Malkin and Marc-Andre Fleury, it is easy for fans, especially young ones, to get caught up in the hype associated with this young and offensively gifted team.

Will finances break up Malone, Penguins?

Rob Rossi of the Pittsburgh Tribune Review suggests that Pittsburgh Penguins pending unrestricted free agent forward Ryan Malone will hit the open market come July 1st.

Will Penguins re-sign Hossa?

Jason Botterill, Pittsburgh Penguins’ man in charge of their salary cap situation, tells the National Post’s Scott Taylor that the club has not made a decision on whether to offer pending unrestricted free agent forward Marian Hossa a contract.

RFAs, Tanabe, and the Blues

Which RFAs will get re-signed before they hit the market? Can the Hurricanes buy out David Tanabe? Will the Blues seek to improve their offense this summer?

Penguins, Crosby & Malkin & Staal, and the Ducks

What type of players do the Penguins need most? What would it take for the Penguins to move Sidney Crosby, Evgeni Malkin or Jordan Staal? Are Scott Niedermayer and Teemu Selanne planning a late-season return?
