With Nikolai Zherdev wanting to go and play in the KHL earlier this season while still under contract, and now the rumors that Jaromir Jagr might play for the Edmonton Oilers this season, what’s going on?
There are various reports that the Anaheim Ducks might be willing to trade Chris Pronger. Also that the Ottawa Senators could be sellers this year. With this in mind, could Chris Neil be available? Could those players be the extra toughness the Montreal Canadiens need to make a good push this year?
The Montreal Canadiens are better by the numbers with the exception of the power play than at this time last year. Some surprises good and bad, and one hot rumour!

The Montreal Canadiens wrapped up their pre-season yesterday with a loss to the Minnesota Wild and made their final cuts save one. It’s now, or maybe later?
Various media outlets are stating that there could be a possibility that Marion Gaborik could be moved. The Minnesota Wild are playing the Montreal Canadiens tonight, and guess who is good friends with the Wild’s GM Doug Risebrough?
