The Pittsburgh Penguins are the first team to the Stanley Cup final. The Pens soundly defeated the Philadelphia Flyers 6-0 Sunday night leaving no doubt that the Pens loss in game four was a wake-up call.

VERSUS, the exclusive cable television home of the National Hockey League, will continue its wall-to-wall coverage of the 2008 NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs when the Conference Finals commence on Thursday, May 8, at 7:30 p.m. ET. The Detroit Red Wings and the Dallas Stars will begin their battle for the right to represent the Western Conference in the Stanley Cup Final. This morning on a Montreal radio show on 990 am with announcers Denis Casavant, Elliot Price, and Shaun Star, Francois Gagnon, a writer for Cyberpresse, said that Michael Ryder was making paper planes, and throwing them out of the press box when the Montreal Canadiens were losing.
