The New York Islanders hired former Providence Bruins coach Scott Gordon last night to fill their coaching vacancy.
Ted Nolan and the New York Islanders officially parted company today in a move that has been brewing for months. GM Garth Snow announced that he will immediately begin searching for a replacement and has several candidates in mind.
Each week, from now until the Draft, I will be profiling a new prospect from the Draft Pool and analyzing how their skills might or might not make them a good fit for the New York Islanders.
The New York Islanders achieved a measure of revenge last night as they gutted out a hard-fought shootout victory over the New York Rangers, 4-3.
