Minnesota Wild 2008-2009 Season Preview

Last season the Minnesota Wild won their first ever Northwest Division title but were ousted in the first round of the playoffs by the Colorado Avalanche. The big question for the Minnesota Wild this season is the whether or not they picked up enough goal scorers to make up for the players they lost in free agency. Here’s a quick rundown off who came and went, along with their scoring numbers from last year.

Oilers, Huselius, Stillman, and Laich

Are the Oilers intent on bolstering their forward group during the off-season? Will Kristian Huselius get a raise this summer? Does Cory Stillman want to remain a Senator? Is Brooks Laich in line for a raise with the Capitals?

Wild forced to deal?

Michael Russo of the Minnesota Star Tribune reports that the Minnesota Wild may be forced to make some moves to stay under the maximum roster limit of 23 players.
