The New York Islanders achieved a measure of revenge last night as they gutted out a hard-fought shootout victory over the New York Rangers, 4-3.
Islander’s goalie Joey McDonald put on an exemplary performance last night, turning aside 45 shots in a 2-1 OT loss to the New Jersey Devils.
The shootout goal wasn’t the prettiest of Daniel Briere’s career, but it was certainly an important one.
