Boyle Is Not Going Anywhere, At Least That Is What He Says.
The Tampa Bay Lightning’s direction has approached Dan Boyle and asked him if he would like to be traded to another team. Give thet credit for the try, because Boyle said it’s out of the question.
Boyle does not intend on playing anywhere but in Tampa Bay next season and that is very unfortunate for the Lightning, because from what I am hearing, the offers are very, but very interesting and really deserve consideration. Thanks to the no-trade clause he signed earlier this year, he had full rights to reject the Lightning’s demand.
It is a weird move coming from the Lightning since they just signed him not too long ago to a 6 years/40millions contract, but from all the thing’s I have seen so far from the new owners, it seems like owning an NHL concession has just turned into a mascarade.
Now the bad news for Boyle is that there is no clause that prevents the Lightning to send him back to the minors and if I was Boyle, in that case, I’s rather get the hell out of somewhere I am not wanted.

Boyle waived it. He isn’t stupid. Not like McCabe… lol
