Habs Shutout And Unhorn Devils!

The Montreal Canadiens beat the New Jersey Devils 4-0 Tuesday night, looks like the unbeatable Devils by Montreal scenario is over.

The scoring for the Habs went like this, Brian Smolinski, assisted by Tom Kostopoulos, Saku Koivu, assisted by Sergei Kostitsyn, and Chris Higgins, Maxime Lapierre, assisted by Sergei Kostitsyn, and Mark Streit, and Michael Ryder, assisted by Maxime Lapierre, and Guillaume Latendresse.

Carey Price stopped 38 shots for the shutout, Price made some brilliant saves to keep the Habs in the game, especially when the Canadiens had to kill a four minute penalty which was served by Andrei Kostitsyn for high sticking. The Price was right tonight at the Bell Centre, as Carey looked in fine form, let’s hope that Price plays well against the Habs next opponent which is the Ottawa Senators on Thursday.

The Montreal Canadiens now hold a 4 point lead in their division over the Sens, and a one point lead over the Devils. The Habs do not play the Devils anymore this year, but they play the Sens three times including the game on Thursday, which means it’s a good way to increase their lead in the standings if the Habs win at least two of those games.

Being that the Habs won today, and now have 87 points, they have 11 games left, hopefully they will be able to win at least 6 of those games to give them 99 points, and a sure win of the division. On to Thursday, were hopefully Carey Price will once again be Priceless.

Here’s a fun fact of mention, since trading Christobal Huet, the Habs have won six out of their last eight games.
