Red Wings sign Valtteri Filppula to five-year deal
TSN is reporting that the Detroit Red Wings have signed restricted free agent foward Valtteri Filppula to a five-year deal worth 15 million dollars.
The 24-year old played in 78 games with Detroit last season, scoring 19 goals and adding 17 assists.
The third round pick in the 2002 Entry Draft has 29 goals in 25 assists in 155 career games in the NHL.
